Math Circles Class Dates 2011/2012

There are two different locations for Math Circles as of 2011/2012. Students may enrol in either the UBC or SFU location. Classes for the two locations will be on different dates, except for the days when there is a combined class (Class 6/7 and then again 13/14). For two classes, the “Math Circles at SFU” students will travel to UBC (Class 6 and 14), and for two classes the “Math Circles at UBC” students will travel to SFU (Class 7 and 13).

Note: Regular class times for the year are either from 12:30 to 2:00 or from 2:30 to 4:00 for math circles at the UBC campus, depending on the class assigned.

class 0: Sept 24 (this is the mandatory testing day for placement )

class 1: Oct 8

class 2: Oct 22

class 3: Nov 5

class 4: Nov 19

class 5: Dec 3

class 6: Dec 17 at UBC (note that the UBC and SFU classes will both meet at UBC for a combined class)

class 7: Jan 7 at SFU (note that the UBC and SFU classes will both meet at SFU for a combined class)

class 8: Jan 14

class 9: Jan 28 (spring term begins on this day)

class 10: Feb 11

class 11: Feb 25

class 12: March 10

class 13: March 31 (note that the UBC and SFU classes will both meet at SFU for a combined class)

class 14: April 14 (note that the UBC and SFU classes will both meet at UBC for a combined class)

class 15: April 21

class 16: May 5

class 17: May 19

SFU location

PIMS - SFU Site, TASC 2, Room 8500, 8888 University Drive, Burnaby.

TASC 2 is the Technology and Science Complex 2, on the Southern side of the campus, and is accessible from Science Road.

Note: Regular class times for the year are either from 1:30 to 3:00 or from 3:30 to 5:00 for the Math Circles at SFU Campus, depending on the class assigned.
