Math Circles: Statistics Level

Statistics Level is Available this School Year 2022/23

Statistics is the science concerned with collecting, analyzing, interpreting and presenting empirical data. It is a highly interdisciplinary field, finding applicability in virtually all fields including finance, engineering, health and medicine, law, and government regulation. Statistics is a powerful process used to make discoveries in science, make decisions based on data, and make predictions. It allows you to understand a subject much more deeply.

Curriculum:  Our course is based on the AP Statistics Course by College Board.

Who is our Statistics course for? 

This course is for Math Circles students who have completed either Omega or Calculus or for new students in Grade 12.

Program Details

Statistics will be offered online for the upcoming 2022/23 school year. It is taught in a "flipped classroom" format where students watch an on-demand video or engage with a learning path prior to attending class. Class time is used to solidify concepts from the learning paths through solving problems and answering student's questions. In one year, there are 17 classes. Classes are 75 minutes (Class times schedule).
