Gateway Mathematics
This course is designed for students entering Grades 5 - 8 in September who have not attended Math Circles previously.
In this course, students will learn how to model and solve challenging, multi-step word problems with understanding and confidence.

In this transformational course, students will be empowered with tools to shift their mindset and discover that they can learn anything. Students will have an opportunity to "click" into math, experiencing it not only as important, but also as interesting, meaningful and beautiful.
Our commitment is to assist students in developing a "growth mindset". Such a mindset allows them to be curious, persevere in the face of challenge, engage in productive struggle, exert good effort, and understand that "mistakes" are in fact valuable learning opportunities.
This course is designed for:
- All Grade 4-6 students who wish to become self-directed, reflective learners.
This course is designed for:
- New students that have finished Grade 8 Math in September.
- Returning students that have graduated Gamma level or higher.
Problem Solving & Proofs
In the first part of this course, students will be exposed to a collection of intriguing and challenging mathematical problems. By completing the first 4 classes of this course students will be able to make connections between different parts of their mathematical universe and be able to take a more innovative approach to problem solving.
In the second part of the course, students will be introduced to some methods of mathematical proofs such as Mathematical Induction, Direct and Indirect Proofs, Proof by Contradiction.
